Spring has sprung all around my town, the tress are blossoming, bushes are getting their green back and the car-shows and cruise-ins are already beginning to get started. I already have three car shows under my belt and am looking forward to going to many more this year, of course the one I’m most excited about is our first National Show in Mustang Ok. Sept. 12th.  I have no doubt that it will become an annual event, I’ve had some ask about M6A shows in other parts of the country, that may be a possibility one day, but as with all things we do involving M6A, we take little steps that will eventually lead to much bigger ones.

This has been an exciting last two weeks for M6A. First Mustang Monthly’s editor Rob Kinnan posted a wonderful write up about us on the Mustang360 website. Second, Rick Schmidt and National Parts Depot (NPD)  made a large donatiod toward the cost of the trophies for our National Show on Sept. 12th in Mustang OK.  Mustang Six Association is a no money Association,  membership is free, the embroidered emblems we sell are sold at cost plus postage. Our store at CafePress sells everything at exact cost and we obtain no profit from any sale made there.

Another noteworthy item that  has happened is we’ve had our very first Mustang II join M6A this week, Martin from Sweden joined us, we also had our first member from Israel, Benni, joined with his 1966 6 cylinder.  If my counting is correct we now have M6A members in 14 countries around the world!

We are adding a new section to this edition of our digital magazine that I think that everyone will enjoy it’s called  A TAIL OF TWO PONIES it features M6A members who presently own two generations of Mustangs or  have a story of a previous Mustang to tell with the story of their present 6 cylinder Mustang . If you have two generations of Mustangs or have a story about a previous one along with your present one send it in so we can put it in a future edition.  We are continuing our special 1966 Sprint advertising series contributed by Tony Kovar, as well as the TO MOD OR NOT MOD, THAT IS THE QUESTION, by Rick Mitchell  Don’t forget we have a section M6A AT THE SHOWS to feature pictures of your Mustang at shows that you send in. Finally we have a special feature in our IT HAPPENED WITH A SIX section. New M6A member  Chuck Cobb, is a NSRA safety inspector and shared with us an inspection safety check list for your classic Mustang. Not only that, but he has offered a free safety inspection to any M6A member who has a classic Mustang that lives near to him

One piece of sad news I want to pass along, Mike of Classic Inlines, passed away last week after a battle with cancer.  I know that many of our members did business with him and regarded him as a friend . I’ve had some people contact me asking about the status of orders placed, and what will happen to the company. At this point I have no information, but if I hear anything I will be sure to pass it on.

Finally for all our new members and a reminder for everyone, we have a free M6A window decal  available for your six cylinder Mustang. To get one email me at: with your mailing address, and put window decal in the subject line. We also have 3 inch embroidered  M6A emblems for sale. Here’s the link to get those:

Have a great day and don’t forget to hug your loved ones and then your Mustang!
